Even though it is equipped with an optical zoom lens, the EX-Z1000 starts up in just 1.3 seconds*1 and has a release time lag of only 0.002 second.*2 High-speed scrolling during playback takes only about 10 seconds to scroll through 100 snapshots.

In addition to support for SD memory cards and MMC cards, 8.0 MB of built-in Flash memory lets you record images even when a memory card is not loaded.
Direct power on mode access helps to make image shooting and viewing operation faster and more convenient.
The triple self-timer records three consecutive images, so you can select the one you want to keep. This means less chance of missing your chance at capturing that magic moment.
